GIEU: Plastics Recycling in Rural and Urban Communities in Ghana, West Africa. Students worked with counterparts at the University of Education - Winneba, Ghana to initiate a plastics recycling project in Ghana through education. To accomplish this goal, they investigated the engineering requirements, as well as economic, legal, and social ramifications of recycling plastics in Ghana (2006).
GIEU: Modernizing Suame Magazine in Ghana. Investigated the requirements for modernizing a vast manufacturing engineering establishment in Ghana. Participants worked with counterparts at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana to develop recommendations for the project (2005).
ME 481: Manufacturing Processes, a distance learning course taught through live video-conferencing to students in Ghana (Fall 2002).
