Haidostian Annual Lectures
The Dr. Berj Haidostian Annual Distinguished lectureship was established by the family of the late Dr. Berj Haidostian, a prominent and devoted physician in Michigan; the annual lecturer is selected jointly by the Armenian studies faculty and the Haidostian family from among internationally recognized experts on Armenia and Armenians. The Haidostian family has a long and continuing relationship with the University and the Armenian Studies Program.
2012 Dr. Berj. H. Haidostian Annual Distinguished Lecture
The University of Michigan’s Armenian Studies Program will host Atom Egoyan, writer, international film maker and director, to deliver the 2012 Dr. Berj. H. Haidostian Annual Distinguished Lecture.
2011 Dr. Berj. H. Haidostian Annual Distinguished Lecture
The University of Michigan’s Armenian Studies Program and Center for Russian, East European, and Eurasia Studies hosted Dr. Fiona Hill of the Brookings Institution to deliver the 2011 Dr. Berj. H. Haidostian Annual Distinguished Lecture.
2009 Dr. Berj. H. Haidostian Annual Distinguished Lecture
Author and award winning journalist Thomas de Waal delivered the 2009 Dr. Berge Haidostian Annual Distinguished Lecture on Oct. 12, 2009 in the Michigan League. The lecture was hosted by the Armenian Studies Program at the University of Michigan.
2008 Dr. Berj. H. Haidostian Annual Distinguished Lecture
On January 14, 2009 the Armenian Studies Program at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor welcomed Dr. Gérard Chaliand of Paris to campus to deliver the Dr. Berj Haidostian Distinguished Annual Lecture.
