May 6-19, 2012 European Union Study Abroad Program in Leuven and Brussels, "The EU as a Global Actor," led by Stephen Brooks, professor of political science at the University of Windsor, adjunct professor of political science at U-M, and director of the Ottawa Internship Program at U-M Dearborn, is a two-week, highly concentrated program. The U-M and U of Windsor students visited the EU Parliament, Commission and Council; NATO; the ICC and Eurojust; US, Australian, Canadian and Turkish Missions to the EU; and participated in cultural excursions. Students taking the course are required to complete recommended readings before arriving to Belgium, attend all seminars and program activities, and submit a 15-page paper related to the seminar’s theme at the end of the study tour.
