Why Give to CICS?
To advance its mission, the International Institute and CICS promote education in the world's societies and cultures by funding study abroad. CICS also recruits international faculty and funds visits by prominent scholars, artists, public officials, and others from across the globe.
The assistance of private contributors is required to continue and expand upon this important work. Through the creation of a Center for International and Comparative Studies, the II can foster greater collaboration and integration among Michigan's many outstanding programs with international studies content and can provide an administrative home for innovative and interdisciplinary teaching and research initiatives in the field of international studies. The annual needs of the center include staffing costs, operating and program budgets, and support for faculty- and student-led initiatives.
How Can You Help?
We encourage you to make donations to the University of Michigan Center for International and Comparative Studies (CICS). Your gift will guarantee that UM students will have an opportunity to study the cultures, histories, languages, and peoples of the world. A gift to CICS is the most significant way you can help secure the University of Michigan's position as a leader in the field of International Studies.
Gifts may be made to CICS in a variety of ways and are deductible as allowed by law. CICS accepts cash, checks, or credit cards; matching gifts (please include the appropriate paperwork from the matching agency with your gift); and securities (stock gifts). Please consider the endowment options described below, and then complete and send this form with your gift to CICS, University of Michigan, 1080 South University, Suite 4668, Ann Arbor, MI 48109-1106.
If you are interested in making a planned gift to CICS, please visit the Office of Development's website. The University of Michigan will work with donors and their financial advisors to design a trust or bequest.
