Prospective Students

Information for Prospective Students Considering Graduate Study in Japanese Studies at the University of Michigan

If you are thinking about graduate study at the University of Michigan, we encourage you to register as a future student on the Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies website.  Registration is free.  It will provide you with an official University of Michigan identification number, and using this ID number will expedite the processing of your application.

In this section, you will find information on how to apply for admission and funding, as well as various resources on campus.

If you are interested in visiting the campus, you can find more information arranging a campus visit.

Once you are matriculated, the Center will hold a new student orientation just prior to the beginning of the fall term.
