The Center for Japanese Studies presents one-time events such as seminars, symposiums, special film events, and photo exhibits. In addition to one-time events, CJS hosts the annual Mochitsuki (Japanese New Year's event) which is open to the public and features mochi-making in the traditional way, games, live music, and other activities.
