"Hanazono" by Jennifer Wright (2010)
History
The Center for Japanese Studies Photo Contest began in 2009 as a project that originally aimed to share the experiences of our students who have traveled, researched, and studied in Japan. Collectively, these photographs highlight the richness and diversity of Japanese society, helping to deepen the awareness and understanding of Japan and its people. Teachers and parents are encouraged to use these photographs as teaching instruments within their classrooms and homes.
2012 Photo Contest
The contest is officially over. Winning photographs along with all photo submissions are available for viewing in the 2012 Photo Gallery.
Thank you to everyone for your participation and for sharing your travels to Japan with us. The deadline for submissions was 5:00PM (EST) on Friday, September 7, 2012. Please read the Rules of Entry and Submission Guidelines for details regarding your participation.
