Ronit Ricci, UM 2006, interviewed in The Sunday Times

Ronit Ricci, a graduate of the Comparative Literature program in 2006, researches historical Malay writings from current day Indonesia and Sri Lanka as well as Javanese writings with an eye to how texts move through time, space, and languages.  In this article, she talks about the history of the Malay community in Sri Lanka and her explorations to find Malay texts held in private homes and collections.
