Resources / For International Students & Scholars
Given its global reputation as a leader among U.S. public research universities and the strength of its undergraduate, graduate, and professional school academic programs, the University of Michigan attracts international students and scholars from around the world.
The University's schools and colleges recruit international students and scholars and, in turn, benefit from the diversity of expertise and experience they bring to the campus. The International Institute and its constituent units contribute to this recruitment of international students and scholars, especially of visiting scholars who come to U-M to lecture and participate in conferences and symposia.
The University of Michigan International Center offers a range of expert advice and services for international students, scholars, faculty, and staff in all schools and colleges (e.g., visas, immigration regulations and federal laws, health insurance, and orientation and other programs). The International Center's website includes useful links to information and other resources for international students and scholars and for U-M administrators.
