To Our Alumni & FriendsDear Alumni, Here at LACS we strive to enable our students to study and research Latin America & the Caribbean as best we can. That is the goal for which we work, and you, our alumni, represent the achievement of that goal. We thank you for that, and hope that your studies in LACS have helped you to also achieve your educational and professional goals. Having said that, we would like to hear from you! We would like to know what you have been doing, how you have succeeded, where you are now, and maybe have you return to campus and participate in events that may be of your interest. We would like to keep you informed about these events, and about other activities and accomplishments of our center, if you are so interested. To be added to our email/mailing list, please fill out our e/mailing list form. In order to help keep us informed, please contact us through whatever means you prefer (email - lacs.office@umich.edu, mail, telephone, fax, or in person!). We will be thrilled to just hear what our alumni are up to, and will use the data you share with us in our alumni report to the Department of Education (which is one of the requirements for having been designated one of about 20 NRC, or National Resource Centers).As a NRC, we receive funding that allows us to bring professors and scholars from Latin America to offer mini courses and full courses in Latin American politics, art, and Quechua; provide fellowships; sponsor and co-sponsor film series, conferences, workshops, photo exhibits, lecture series and many other educational activities. Please,with just minutes of your time sharing about yourselves, you can help us immensely. You can use this form to provide some information about yourself, and in the comment section, please feel free to tell us anything more about yourselves that you would like. Starting next Spring, we plan to publish a newsletter to be sent by mail to our friends and alumni. If you would like and you authorize us to do so, we can include your news and accomplishments in it. LACS immensely appreciates any support you may be able to give. If you are so inclined to contribute any donations to our programs and endeavors, we invite you to fill out this donation form. If you are interested in working with your financial advisors to make a planned gift to Latin American and Caribbean Studies at the University of Michigan, please visit the Office of Development's website.
