Student Groups and Associations at the University of Michigan
LACS frequently collaborates with student groups to bring Latin American and Caribbean-themed events and activities to campus. Some of the groups we have worked with most closely are the Circulo Andino and the Caribbean Workshop, both run by graduate students and sponsored by the Horace Rackham School of Graduate Studies and LACS; HLBSA, run by Business School students with interests in the region; and MIRA, organized primarily by undergraduate students. The primary goal of the graduate workshop groups is to provide a space where students and professors can present their work in progress, receive feedback from their peers, exchange ideas, and engage in a dialogue about issues relevant to the study of this particular region.
Some of the Latin American and Caribbean student groups on campus are:

- Círculo Andino "Micaela Bastidas Phuyuqhawa" (Michigan Andeanists)
