2010 Summer in South Asia Program
Thanks to a generous endowment gift to the Center for South Asian Studies, Michigan undergraduates have an opportunity to design and carry out their own summer fellowship programs in India. The ideas are yours but CSAS can help you connect with Indian organizations and with Michigan faculty to fine-tune your plan.
The application process has four stages:
1. A two-page preliminary application is due on
or before January 8, 2010. That application
is available here.
2. Students will be notified of the committee's first
round decision by January 15, 2010.
3. Selected students will meet with CSAS staff to
refine ideas by February 5, 2010.
4. The Final Application will be due on or before
February 12, 2010.

Presentations and Discussions by the 2009 Summer in South Asia CSAS Undergraduate Fellowship Recipients
Thanks to a generous endowment gift the Center for South Asian Studies this year awarded seven undergraduate fellowships for self-designed research projects in India. In this symposium, the culmination of their adventures, the students will present their findings, discuss their work, and reflect upon the impact of their experiences. We hope you will join us in appreciating how far they’ve travelled as we welcome them home to Michigan.
