Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students have the opportunity to develop their studies in Latin American and the Caribbean in either a Concentration or a Minor.
The Interdepartmental Concentration Program (Major) in Latin American and Caribbean Studies is designed to provide students with a rigorous, multi-disciplinary approach to the study of Latin America and the Caribbean. A broad base of knowledge is established by the requirement of a core of upper-level work in languages, the social sciences, and the humanities. Analytical depth is demonstrated through the completion of a senior thesis under appropriate faculty supervision. For more information, please see our Concentration page.
The Latin American and Caribbean Studies Academic Minor is designed to give you a multidisciplinary approach to the study of the vibrant and growing countries of the Americas, from Mexico and the Caribbean to Chile and Argentina, and to certify that you have received a solid education in the study of the area from one of the nation's premier research institutions. For more information, please see our Minor page.
