Sara Baumann is pursuing a master’s in public health. Her research is focused on HIV/AIDS awareness in Bangladesh.

In addition to her HIV/AIDS Fulbright research, Sara plans to fuse her passion for art and health by developing a clothing line to augment awareness campaigns to combat HIV/AIDS. Her time is dedicated to Bengali language study, understanding education and awareness in a Muslim nation, and interviewing sex workers. She is working with local media, artists, designers, photographers and textile workers to bring together an eclectic team and a creative project.  Her experience has taught her a lot about patience, adjustment, and looking at every hindrance and reward as a learning experience. She has seen firsthand the value of exchanging ideas and working together to accomplish a common goal in spite of different perspectives.
