CSAS Speaker Series Lecture by filmmaker Ranjani Mazumdar. Ranjani Mazumdar is Associate Professor of Cinema Studies at the School of Arts and Aesthetics, Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi and an independent filmmaker. She is the author of Bombay Cinema: An Archive of the City (University of Minnesota Press, 2007). Her documentaries include Delhi Diary 2001 on violence, memory and the city; and The Power of the Image (co-directed), a television series on Bombay Cinema. Her current research focuses on cinema in the 1960s, globalization and film culture and film and history.
