Since its launch in September 2008, the Weiser Center for Emerging Democracies has introduced the following student and faculty initiatives:

A graduate seminar, Sociology of Emerging Democracies (offered in Fall 2008)
Weiser Emerging Democracy Fellowships for Incoming Graduate Students (for students matriculating at the University of Michigan in Fall 2009; nomination deadline: February 2, 2009)
Weiser Faculty Grants (applications from University of Michigan faculty accepted on a rolling basis)
