On December 5-9 the Weiser Center for Europe and Eurasia at the University of Michigan organized its second NGO Leadership Workshop in Bratislava, Slovakia. This year’s program expanded to bring together 25 leaders from non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in countries that have recently undergone democratic transitions for participation in the weeklong intensive training. The workshop, which aims to make civil society organizations more effective and durable, was organized in continued partnership with the William Davidson Institute (WDI) at the University of Michigan and the Slovak-based Pontis Foundation.
