Professor Nancy Love, who works on water quality issues in different countries, including Ethiopia, talks about her research on water filters in Flint, Michigan
Professor Nancy Love is an ASC affiliated faculty and a professor of engineering. Her research focuses on environmental biotechnology and water quality with an emphasis on engineered treatment systems. Her specific interests focus on the fate of chemical stressors in these systems (e.g., toxins, pharmaceuticals, trace contaminants), the use of technologies to sense and remove these chemicals, antibiotic resistance, and on resource recovery from wastewater. Her research has been funded by the National Science Foundation, the Water Environment Research Foundation, The Cooperative Institute for Coastal and Estuarine Environmental Technology, various utilities and water authorities, and NASA.
