The CJS Master of Arts in Japanese Studies is the oldest program of its kind in the nation, and has trained many of the world’s leading Japan scholars. In addition to the stand-alone program, CJS offers three dual degree options in conjunction with other schools at U-M:
Joint Degree in Japanese Studies and Business, leading to MA and MBA degrees.
Dual Degree in Japanese Studies and Law, leading to MA and JD degrees.
Self-Initiated Dual Degree, combining the Master of Arts in Japanese Studies and another graduate degree program or a graduate certificate program at the University of Michigan.
