DHRC/PICS/Perseus Strategies International Human Rights Fellowship is awarded to an outstanding LSA undergraduate at the University of Michigan for a research and service internship between May and August 2018 at Perseus Strategies in Washington, DC. This fellowship is administered jointly by the Donia Human Rights Center (DHRC) and the Program in International and Comparative Studies (PICS) in collaboration with Perseus Strategies and its managing director, the renowned international human rights lawyer, Jared Genser. The fellowship provides a stipend of $5,000 to defray the travel expenses and costs of living in Washington, DC. for 8 weeks. Each application will be reviewed by a DHRC/PICS/Perseus Strategies joint review committee. Fellows are expected to offer a presentation of their internship projects and experiences upon return to campus.

The goal of the DHRC/PICS Perseus Strategies Fellowship is to support an accomplished and exceptional LSA student with demonstrated interest in and intention to pursue a career in human rights. Applications will be evaluated on the quality of the statement of purpose, the applicant’s record of achievement and promise for the internship position with Perseus Strategies. Applicants will be notified of the selection process results by Friday, March 16, 2018.
