Traffickers Cross Borders: Legal Solutions

Tuesday, September 22, 2015
12:00 AM
South Hall 1225

Sponsored by Michigan Law; co-sponsored by Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies and the Brazil Initiative

Last year, MLaw's Human Trafficking Clinic launched an exciting initiative called Clinnect HTS (Clinnect "Human Trafficking and Slavery"). Clinnect HTS is a global network devoted to combating human trafficking and slavery through advocacy-based exchange. After over a year of building these relationships, we are so excited to be hosting an international workshop in Ann Arbor for faculty members and students, with a wide range of expertise, from universities in, for example, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Ethiopia, and the Netherlands.

During this lunch, which is open to all, law students from Michigan and Mexico will talk about how they teamed up to provide cross-border legal representation to a victim of human trafficking. Lunch will be provided.

This event is sponsored by Michigan Law and co-sponsored by the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies and the Brazil Initiative.
