We are pleased to announce that Elizabeth King has been appointed associate director of the Weiser Center for Europe and Eurasia (WCEE). She is assistant professor in health behavior and health education at the University of Michigan School of Public Health and has been a CREES Faculty Associate since coming to U-M in 2014. Professor King has been conducting research in Russia for over 15 years, investigating HIV prevention, access to HIV services for key affected populations, and gender-based violence.

As associate director, she will be responsible for curriculum and pedagogy at WCEE including the Center for European Studies (CES); Center for Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies (CREES); and Copernicus Program in Polish Studies (CPPS). Professor King will advise graduate students enrolled in the REES MA, REES Graduate Certificate, and European and European Union Studies Graduate Certificate programs. She will also oversee graduate recruitment and admissions, fellowships, and other student awards.
