The LSA Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Office was created as part of the College's DEI Strategic Plan.
The DEI Office:
- develops and delivers DEI-related professional development opportunities and resources for students, staff, and faculty,
- supports students, staff, and faculty in achieving DEI-related goals,
- promotes DEI activities across the university that are open to students, staff, and faculty,
- supports diversity efforts in hiring, review, retention, and outreach for students, staff, and faculty,
- develops metrics to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of DEI initiatives,
- serves as a liaison between LSA and other units within U-M to collaborate on DEI work,
- develops and promotes best practices for advancing DEI within the college
